Interview with Marvin Arbaiza (@whoismaddmaxx)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

When I was 17, I fell in love with recording music and wanted to work with different artists so I went to Omega Studios School of the recording arts in Rockville Md and from there I reach out to the different local artist to make a name for myself and build relationships with different musicians.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I got to work with a lot of guys that I looked up to and for me, that has been the greatest benchmarks in my career.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

To keep going and focus on always getting better, leave your Egos at home and learn how to collaborate with everyone.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

For me was Mixed By Ali, he has been a person that I have looked up to for a long time. So getting to meet him and learning from him thru his Engineers seminar has taught me how to look and approach at mixing in a whole different way.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I am currently helping local engineers perfect their craft thru tutorials and by sitting in the studio vibing out mixes they created and just helping them approach their art The same way I do.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

If at first, you don’t succeed, then try, try again. For me, that quote has always stuck with me and I have applied in all aspects of my career. If something doesn’t work out or if a door closes I have never given up and changed my mindset to be able to go around whatever is blocking my path.
