Interview with Wegi (@therealwegi1)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Growing up in Decatur, Ga I would always find myself hanging around the wrong crowd, so I needed to find something to keep me out of trouble for the time being and I ran across music through a good friend of mine’s name “Stoney” back in 2010.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

The biggest thing that has happened for me is I’ve been able to learn every part behind the music, which makes it easier for me to put together my own projects independently.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Understand that music is only part of it, and the business is much bigger. Also never lose sight of your purpose.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

A good friend of mines name Terrell “Tizzle” lookout for me along the way early on, we both quit our jobs to pursue music full time when I felt like something was impossible he’d be there to tell me to keep pushing through you got this. Also, he was able to learn many techniques through me from watching how we were growing the brand awareness from scratch and monetizing everything I had my hands on.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I give back by giving people important information that’ll continue to lead them in the right direction.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“A man that fail to plan, plan to fail” this quote means a lot to me there where plenty time I and my team would just wing things and go off the head, but when I started to sit us down at the round table we were able to up with plans better and execute them more efficient.
