Interview with Waleed Sabri (@waleedsabri_)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Starting my career as a car salesman at the age of 16 I decided to go it alone after discovering my passion for sports cars. First selling cars from my former 9 to 5 job as a hobby, I went on to sell from home, and as business progressed I decided to expand and discovered at the time that it worked best from an exclusive car showroom that I have customised to suit my business needs.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

For me it has to be when I was approached by an agent from Universal studios to host the release of the famous movie Fast and Furious 8, we took a fleet of supercars into a local town centre (Slough) and enjoyed a weekend of fun with the public, it was really cool.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Plan ahead, be truthful, treat your staff well, if your staff is happy your clients will be happier, make achievable goals, and treat yourself often.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I would say, my father, bless him he is a great a man with a big heart, he has always encouraged me to be honest and brave, he has taught me the real meaning of life and the real meaning of failure. Life is an experience, make the moments matter as it’s the experiences of life that we will always remember, no one can take away your thoughts and experiences. Failure is just an experience and we have to learn from it.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I have taken part in a number of charity projects over the years, interacting and supporting people with mental health issues and staying humble and respectful to the world. Staying positive in any situation always pays off no matter how hard it gets, “what you put in is what you get out”.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“If you fail to plan you plan to fail”.
