Interview with Stephen Navaretta (@brooklyntank718)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I love to help others reach their goals. It’s a beautiful feeling helping others live a better life. I didn’t choose this career path it chooses me. I injured my back in 2011 with my last job. TSS – Traffic safety service. I was hit by a car when I was driving the work truck. Long story short, I ended up with a serve back injury that required me to do surgery. The doctor recommended it. I told him I am too young I will try physical therapy. After 8 months of PT. It didn’t help, I basically cured my Back injury with a variation of planks. Mainly the low hollow forearm plank.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I got to fly to California and work for ABC TV Show “American ninja warrior” I did a small obstacle course for kids. It was a cool experience.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Be different! To stand out and thrive I feel it’s best to be original. Work hard and never give up on what you most want! Stay patient and stay consistent. Too strong.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I’m grateful for my mother. She is everything to me and has taught me at a young age that if you want something goes out and do the work the in needed to achieve. Hard work beats talent when talent stops working. Only count on yourself. Don’t let yourself down, you’ll be the only one to blame. You vs you.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

By helping people live healthier. I tell them how to eat and train properly and most of all the be happy with life and how precious each day is.

I tell my supporters all the time. There are endless benefits to exercising… I give them free workouts and tips daily.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

To not be a follower. When I was in my teens I was staying around the wrong crowds. Crowds/friends that weren’t driven to be better. I found myself drinking alcohol too much. It’s wasn’t till I stumbled across a bodybuilding magazine. I was drunk at 4 am in my friend’s truck, just left a club. I saw the magazine and a switch went off. I said to myself why can’t I be in the magazine. I started working out the next day.
