Interview with Micah Stephen (@everydaypiks)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Recently, I’ve gained a growing interest in photography. But, not just any kind. I’ve realised it’s a stepping stone to achieving more such as promoting brands, capturing once-in-a-lifetime memories, and meeting new people! So, basically, I’m using photography as a base to build on and expand in many ways but mainly as promoter and influencer.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Ever since I started out, young brands have contacted me to help promote them by temporarily posting my photographs of their products. I’ve also participated in sponsored giveaways.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

As long as you genuinely love what you’ve chosen to pursue, you’ll be successful.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

A lot of people have influenced my decisions in life. One, in particular, my sister, was in fact the person who inspired me to follow the path I’ve taken.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

This might seem weird, but I’ve been able to show people who think they’re ugly that they actually look good through my lens. I’ve also given away hundreds of dollars worth of goods to dozens of winners.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

If life sets you back, it most likely means it’s gonna launch you further than you would have gone if everything went smoothly. I’ve had a lot of setbacks in life, but I’ve used them to learn very important lessons that enabled me to go further in life. I once lost hundreds of dollars to scammers and when I thought of why they scammed, I realised that everyone has to find a way to survive. And I did.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

I have Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram but I’d prefer to only give out my Instagram. That’s @everydaypiks.
