Interview with Mabel Anlaminga (@mayy_belle)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Growing up I was always fascinated by beauty pageants. I finally decided to try out Miss Teen Ghana after my friends encouraged me. After winning miss teen Ghana, it opened soo many opportunities to me in the media world. I started hosting events and shows.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

The most interesting story that happened to me during my journey will be the one time my heels got ruined during an award show I was hosting.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Always believe in yourself and be focused in life. The journey is not smooth, but with perseverance, you can go through.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Definitely my mother. She’s been very supportive since the first moment I mentioned I ever wanted to try out beauty pageants.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I have used my platform to raise funds for different orphanages in Ghana.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Everything that happens, happens for a reason is my favorite life quote. It’s been relevant in my life because, it gives me hope that whatever happened, happened for a reason and there are greater opportunities out there for me if it didn’t work out this time.
