Interview with Grant Golestan-Parast (@ceogrant)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I wanted to become an entrepreneur since I was in middle school, I would see my parents work so hard to put food on the table, have to ask their bosses for time off work to go to school event, & seeing them not be given the pay for the value that they were bringing to their jobs. This made me realize that there is a ceiling, a cap to the amount of effort and work you put into a worker boss relationship pay system & not want that for myself.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I went to Vegas with my cousin as we were going to play some golf I noticed 2 gentlemen were looking my way, they then approached me and asked if I was Grant Golestan. They recognized me from my Instagram and LinkedIn presence.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Follow a routine that you fall in love with, also realize that their will be moments of boredom and plateaus where you are staying at the same level of growth or even stagnant. Remind yourself that this will pass and remember that you started this journey of entrepreneurship to stay the course and not stray away from it,

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

When I was 12 years old my cousin a clothing company called “Drive” was focused on high-quality photos of exotic cars like Lamborghini’s and Ferrari’s on the clothing. I noticed that he grew this passion for what he started and it made him feel excited like something was around the corner with a prize attached to it. This inspired me to see what I could fake a jab at in business.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I donate.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Avoid negative people like the plague, they will infect you with their energy. I dropped all of the negative people in my life, even those that were extremely close to me. Was it hard at first? Yes, of course. But after 3-6 months you realize that you feel much better.
