Interview with Enrique Massuet Valdes (@enrique_massuet)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I started in personal finances 4 years ago. I always wanted to help people. I saw most of the middle income families did not have enough knowledge about finances and that is why I started teaching people about it. It is my passion to see people becoming financially independent because I guide them in the right pass to control their personal finance.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

There was one time my aunt was looking for a job. And she came back from the interview when I asked her how it went, she told me when she said her last name the manager asked her if she was related to Enrique Massuet (me). When she said she was my aunt, they give her the job. The manager told her I was the one that teaches him how to put his finances together and to make and save his first $100,000.00 in this country since when I meet him, was only 3 month after he immigrated to this beautiful country with a bag full of dreams but without knowing how to achieve them.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Work with your heart. That is the only way. You need to feel it. When you are in our industry helping people achieve their most precious dreams, you need to do it with your heart and no thinking only with the pocket. You need to be people drive, no money drive. Move-in the symphony of your heartbeat.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I had too many people helping me all the way up. I am thankful to each one of them, but the 2 people I am more thankful to are my Mom and my Dad. They have been there when nobody else was. I had great mentors in the industry, believe me, I had the best coaches in the entire world, I wish them the best blessings of all. And I have to mention to the great support I received from my team too, from those that still with me and from those that are no more working with me. I am proud of each of them for the excellent persons and professionals they have become. And I wish them all the greatest blessings and success.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I want to think that way, cause it is my only purpose in life. I want to left my footprint in this world by touching as many lives as possible for the good. I love it when I see my clients and my team reaching their most important desires. So yeah, and there is a lot of more goodness to come. I won’t leave this world without shacking it from the ground helping others to reach their dreams.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I love Roosevelt’s quote that says:

“a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor”

Right when I had one of the most difficult times in my life, one of the greatest coaches and persons I know in my life, send me this quote in a picture by message. It helped me through all the situations I had surpassed in my life. I will never forget this quote, and I will never forget that coach, he maybe doesn’t even remember that image, he gave too much valuable advice to me, he is a Real Rhino!
