Interview with DL Clark (@the_original_dl)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Just released an album of previously released songs entitled T.E.Y. (The Early Years) and have a new movie in production.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Playing the role of Carte Blanche in the hit hip hop film King Of Paper Chasin’.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Stay focused, believe in yourself, don’t stop and keep going.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Many people helped but Allen Blackwell from E1 Entertainment at the time was the first to really take a chance on me and give me a shot with films which in turn helped me elevate my music career.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

We have the Triplebeam Dreams Foundation I have started. Our mission is to work with the inner-city youth. Our mission is to shrink the digital divide and assist in helping them realize their goals and dreams.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I have one that I came up with myself based on my life experiences and interactions with others. “Adversity doesn’t build character. It reveals it.”
