Interview with Courtney Hanson (@thesweetestlittlelife)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I wrote my first book in September of 2018 “The Sweetest Little Life – A mompreneurs guide to success” with the passion of helping other mothers know they can chase the path of entrepreneurs while still balancing motherhood. Since then we have launched courses, subscription boxes of connecting the mind, body, and soul of business.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I think the most interesting thing is how my path has shifted so drastically from where I imagined myself being. I started out as a makeup artist for MTV’s House of Style and it slowly molded into my passion for content creating, photography, writing and teaching. I knew there had to be some way to tie everything together and wake up excited for my career and journey. Now I am an influencer with a passion for building women up coaching them to live their best lives too.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

To be open to change and failure. I truly believe my greatest growth has been from hitting rock bottom and having nowhere to go or be but open and willing.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My family has been my biggest inspiration, I want to leave a legacy for my children to be like “wow that’s my mama, she did that.” I want to leave my handprint on this world as someone who made an impact and change for good.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I am constantly looking for ways I can serve the community in leadership. Right now I have been doing “porch” traits of quarantine to bring smiles through my community, I look for ways to help in any situation with everything I do.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.”
