Interview with Christopher Cox (@just_crackerjack)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’ve always been a massive fan of music and all genres of music. As a young child listening to the music, my parents played to then following my own path within the music. I’ve always had an interest within the Urban genre from its beginning to this present day. I’m naturally a creative person and music is the way I can express myself and hopefully in the process of projecting my story, feelings and emotions, people will be able to relate and enjoy. It’s more than a hobby for me, it’s my passion, you could say my calling in life.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I can tell you a story more so based on the people that show you love and the people who just tell you that they love you. Actions speak louder than words. When you elevate, people will either push you or pull you…. a story is forever unfolding. It’s more so how you plan for the next chapter.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

To be consistent. Stay humble and be patient. Always show love and support to others. To stay within your own lane and not allow yourself to get caught up within other people’s drama or any negativity which may be directed at you. As long as you have passion the flame will continue to burn.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My father was my biggest inspiration, he had always supported my ideas and beliefs. His passing this year (January 17th 2020) motivated me to push harder. To stay consistent and to believe in me. My closest friend Nick ‘Noodle’ Parsons who also passed this year motivated and pushed me towards my goals. So their joint support and love inspired and elevated me throughout. I would like to mention another close friend of mine, Jay Escott who also involves himself within the music scene has been a great pusher and believer of my music. So a massive thanks to them all. It’s all love.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I hope that my story will help people work towards their own goals. I hope to enlighten people with my music, by telling my story and how anything is possible for as long as you work hard for it. You reap the seeds you sow. Stay on your hustle.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“It is what it is”

That’s life summed up really, things happen that are out of our control, so you either adapt or fall behind. Oh and “Get The Bag” means to maintain your hustle, go get that dream you’re chasing and make it a reality.
