Interview with Ayub Mumin (@ayubboxing)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I love boxing so much. It’s in my blood. There’s nothing I would like to do more than boxing.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have been featured in the local newspaper over 8 times (Woking News and Mail) also I have had a small flash feature on Sky Sports and also I have had a feature done on me by BBC Russia. The highlight of my life was when I met my idol Vasiliy Lomachenko who is the best boxer on the planet.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

In the sport of boxing, there are no easy roots. Work, work, and work some more, that’s the only way to become champion.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Dillian Whyte. I got invited to do some training with him. Such an amazing boxer and a more amazing human being.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I want to use my influence to inspire and bring hope to people. Every day we get messages from people telling us that we are inspiring them, so this is great news.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Always work harder than your opponents” this advice was given to me by my idol Vasiliy Lomachenko and I will forever remember this and stick to it!
