Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Miss Maria James – Founder of Miss Earth Australia is the person who discovered me. I went to one of her free catwalk training sessions where I realised modelling is my true passion.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I have done several tourism campaigns shoots for Tourism Australia, Tourism NSW and Australian National Maritime Museum in various hotels/resorts – Echoes Boutique Hotel Blue Mountains, The Hydro Majestic Hotel Blue Mountains, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley, Elements of Byron; and in various tourist spots in the Shoalhaven and Byron regions in New South Wales, Australia.
I have also walked the runways for various fashion designers from the Bollywood, Fiji, the Hollywood, and the Philippines.
This is also the most exciting part of my modelling career. I was invited to Fiji to attend the Pacific’s biggest charity fashion event where I walked the runways for various fashion designers in Fiji. I was also invited to Thailand Fashion Week which was held in November 2019 in Thailand.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Believe in yourself, work at your own pace but always thrive to be the best version of yourself.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
It must be Miss Maria James – Founder of Miss Earth Australia who gave me the very first catwalk lessons, organised my first photo shoot, and gave me the very first opportunity to be on a big stage as a runway model. I can’t thank her enough.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I have been sponsoring 4 children via World Vision Australia over the last 8 years. I used to run this business MrTaxAgent.com.au for charitable purposes where I used the majority of the business profit to help underprivileged children in Africa, Asia, and South America. I have been heavily involved in volunteering work over the last 10 years, started with Salvation Army Australia as a general helper and currently, I’m a trained community visitor at Multicultural Care Australia where I continuously provide emotional and mental support to the vulnerable people in the community on a regular basis.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“You are always one decision away from a completely different life!” It was my decision to come to Australia to study, my decision to move from Perth to Sydney, and also my decision to come to a catwalk training where I met Miss Maris James which has brought me to where I am today. It’s been a very challenging yet exciting journey for me and I embrace it every single day.
