Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Dentistry to many is a place they don’t wish to go. The fear of needle has created that stereotype of dislike and hate towards dentistry and dentists. I have heard it many times that people say they hate the dentist, they even told me. But my passion for dentistry and music made me realize that I can possibly change that. I am on a mission to break that stereotype, on a mission to create a better stereotype that dentists are fun and we can definitely change things for better for our patients if we take the right steps. It doesn’t only start with me but I can certainly influence people. This is where my parodies come in very handy. They are fun and most importantly educational. I am lucky that I get to do both things that I absolutely love. Dentistry and Music!

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have people who wanted to work in my office, who were so excited to join our team because they realized that if they were to enjoy what they do as far as work goes, then they get to become much better in what they do. My patients and team are as equal as it can be. They mean the world to me.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

This is not only for my colleagues but for every person who works with a group of people. Respect those around you, enjoy what you do, and don’t think of your work as work but more of a hobby. This mindset makes me excel in what I do.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I would definitely say my uncle and brother are the two people whom when they speak I listen because I know I am about to learn more about life. My growth was substantial because I always love to listen and they taught me how to appreciate those around me and invest in them to drive to success together. I remember when I was young and I was debating between starting my path for dentistry or getting a degree in something that will give me good salary my brother said to me “don’t think about money and when you can have it; instead, think about your future and what you want to do for fun!” That was the answer to my own question and I know I will be the dentist my patients would need.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Aside from taking care of my patients in the office. I do dental parodies and funny videos and share those through social media and the responses I get are substantial. People truly enjoy that I don’t only show the serious side of dentistry and the work on teeth alone, which many do. But they enjoy it because I show my goofy side and the part where my creativity in music can be applied to dentistry.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

There are always a few or some people who don’t like or support what you do. That could be due to jealousy or the fact that they simply can’t agree or see your vision. I have struggled with the fact that I couldn’t please everyone until I realized not everyone can please me either and that clicked. I understood then and there that it is all about what you believe and excel in, the people who support you then you show them love, and those who don’t you say thank you and you move on!
