Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’m a stand-up comic who used to have a TV show called college hill on BET.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have also appeared on multiple TV episodes and movies such as Snowfall, The Goldbergs, CSI, Hulu’s: Casual, Tru TVs: Laff Mobb, Laff Tracks, and in Meet the Spartans I worked with Kevin Sorbo and Tiffany Haddish. I have also acted in over 43 national commercials such as Hidden Valley Ranch, Hyundai, Residence Inn, Discover, and was the hip fresh face of “Pump”, a bottled water brand, in New Zealand.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

It’s a long path don’t compare yourself to others because there’s no one set way.

Always study your craft and be with like-minded and positive people.

Be nice to everyone because that server or uber driver might be the next big person and you will be remembered. Stay encouraged. As hard as it may be no that you’re the best and love what you do.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Bernie Mac was my inspiration. I met him doing background work and he introduced himself to us. Most main cast members barely even talk to their own cast members yet talk to the people in the background. From that day on I studied him and was like I want to be like him. Which is why I even changed my name to Willie Macc.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I donate to charities, I donate time and resources to my church. I worked for nonprofits alongside city council members and the Mayor of Los Angeles to speak to kids. Inspiring the next generation is something I’m proud of and lucky enough to do.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Do not despise the days of small beginnings. Remember where you came from if you’re down don’t be made. Learn. Appreciate. Then go forward.
