Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Since I was young, I’ve always been creative with lots of talents, and passion to innovate and create. Civil engineering has satisfied this affection. Civil engineers create the world around us. I remember the first project I’ve ever led building a famous school in Kuwait, every time I pass by this monument, I can’t help but feel proud I’ve created that. Not to mention, with the vast disciplines covered under civil engineering, it’s guaranteed there is never a dull moment.

However, as I progressed in my career, I felt I had a bigger mission, and this is to ensure what I do is part of helping the society to become more advanced by adapting the infrastructure to meet challenges brought on by new technologies, population growth, and climate change. This is when I decided to go public and focus on initiatives and roles that benefit the larger community.

Based on my expertise, career accomplishments, and community service footprint, I was elected to become:

– Head of Quality of Development Projects in Kuwait.

– Official Spokesperson for Al-Mitlaa City, the largest residential development in Kuwait.

– Advisor for Ministry of Endowments, Mosques Maintenance Section

– Al-Ahmadi.

– Advisor to the Minister of Transportation.

 – “KUWAIT PLANTS” Committee member and head of media.

– A United Nations Project.

The above has contributed to acquiring my influencer and public status in my field with regular media appearances and articles that influence the public opinion and serve the community.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

One of the stories that always remind me why I’m doing this, I had a case of a homeless person reaching out to me through my Instagram account. Using my influence on social media, we were able to gather enough funds to buy an apartment for him and give him a home.

I had documented this story in 2015 on my Instagram account. https://www.instagram.com/p/3HFUIIDO5c/?igshid=aqbgkq78a71j https://www.instagram.com/p/3Hn2TTjO4b/?igshid=10wxmtbbyjr3q

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Always think beyond your day to day job. You have been given a gift to help people and to make their environment better, use it.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Every step of the way, I’ve had individuals supporting me, believing in my vision, and are thereby my side not letting me fall.

Being a public figure, especially if you’re dealing with issues that affect the core of the community, you’re definitely exposing yourself to a lot of conflict, criticism, and politics. Without the support system, I have at home, and by my advisors and mentors, I could have never reached where I am today while staying true to myself, and my community.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

My success helps me contribute directly to the development of my country and my community. Being heard and being able to influence is one of the greatest tools to build a better world for ourselves and future generations.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I would actually share a personal quote with you “clowns paint their faces because people like masks” It rhymes better in Arabic, but you get the meaning.

I’ve quickly learnt that lesson when I first appeared to the public and on social media with my true identity, unlike many others that appear under fake identities.

Controversial and thought-provoking topics to ruffle feathers, let alone if it touches the core of the development in your country. It has been a learning experience, how to deliver the message with integrity while managing the politics around it.
