Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I strongly believe that it is our birthright as women that we get to experience harmonious hormones and flourishing fertility. As a teenager and young adult, harmonious hormones were far from my reality. I experienced hormonal chaos in the form of cystic acne and painful cycles. It was a really horrible time for me. I felt like my body had failed me. So I began my hormone rebalance journey. While many women in their 20’s were out partying, I was at home immersed in books and blogs about nutrition, women’s wellness, hormones, and fertility. The more I learnt, the more I knew I needed to help women who were dealing with the same struggles. This naturally led me to study nutritional medicine.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

It would be a collective of stories regarding how common it is for women to suffer in silence with their hormonal imbalance signs and symptoms. Unfortunately, many women think that how they are feeling is just “normal”, when in reality it is common but certainly not normal.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

It is so easy for fellow Nutritionists to be always thinking of their client’s needs and wants over their own. My advice would be to ensure that they are practicing what they preach and that may mean taking a break every now and then to recharge their own batteries.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Definitely my mum. She has always believed in me and made me feel like I could achieve anything I set my mind to and she was 110% right. If it wasn’t for the confidence that she instilled in me from a young age, I honestly don’t believe that I would be where I am today, kicking the goals that I am kicking.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I like to think that my knowledge is helping to inspire and empower other women to take charge of their health. Applied knowledge really is power, so I like to think that I am providing the knowledge and also inspiring my clients and audience to apply that knowledge to not only improve their health but ultimately their lives.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My favourite quote is “She believed she could, so she did”. I love it because it applies to all areas of life. As a Nutrition student, I had this quote printed out on my desk so that I could refer to it on the days when I felt like everything was too hard. As soon as I would look at it, my mood would instantly change and it would always bring me back to my why.
