Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’m an actor. I’ve wanted to be an actor since I was 5 years old.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have been able to do what I love in the city that I grew up in, New Orleans. My first interview as an actor was with former Times-Picayune writer, Dave Walker. After that interview, I felt like a star. Lol

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Leave it in the room. After every audition, no matter how great or bad you think you did, leave it in the room. You did what you could. All you can do now is pray and the rest is out of your hands. And if you got into acting because you love it and not for fame or money then you will never burn out.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My New Orleans agent, Tosha Mills. When I joined her age, I didn’t have 1 credit to my name. I thought I was going to be an extra and doing stand-in work forever. When I join her agency, she said “first thing first, no more extra or stand-in jobs, you are an actor who I will get work for.” I love acting so much that I take every audition to the heart and almost quit a few times but Tosha’s voice and my wife were the voices that I needed to continue and kept me from quitting.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Yes. I go to inner-city schools and speak to them about following their dreams and staying on the right path.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Character is how you treat people that can do nothing for you.” – Kristoff St. John. It was a quote from one of my favorite actors. Watching him on The Young and the Restless made me realize that A Black man can make it in this industry. His quote is on my IG page.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

My IG handle is “actingstyles” and my Twitter which I seldom use is “actingstyles”.
