Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

At one point Basim and his wife, Ramsha were broke and living out of his parent’s basement, and cooking eggs out of the microwave. It was in those times he realized how much health was pivotal to living a fulfilled life. He started eating right, and cleaning up his nutrition and felt so much better. Through that, they were inspired to create NutriRise to give what they learned, a wellness company that has helped over 700,000+ customers believe, and take action on their health.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

When NutriRise was born, Basim experienced phenomenal growth. By contributing to other people’s health, he was more connected than ever to the daily challenges and struggles of everyday people. That perspective alone helped him understand how to serve, and give as much value as possible.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

I used to get burned out all the time because of how scattered I was, and how much I tried to struggle through everything. It felt horrible and demotivating. I kept forcing myself to concentrate and it always felt like an uphill battle. In those moments of struggle, it’s important to recognize your current state. Know and understand when you’re down or feeling anxious. When you recognize it, step away for a bit. Take a few moments repeatedly throughout your day to find stillness. Go sit somewhere quiet, close your eyes, and focus on your breathing. In those moments you’ll feel a shift. Your state will change. Every time you invest those few minutes, you’ll come back to your world with a totally new perspective and vision. You’ll feel more inspired than ever before, and connect to a world of contribution.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I didn’t have a focus or a sense of direction and was all over the map. Although creative with my ideas, I didn’t really understand how to properly think through things for the greater good. When Ramsha, stepped in my life. I found both love and freedom at the same time. She balanced my energy so that I was able to take time away and truly thing through my life plans. She opened up doors to a better future and new possibilities. She became the source of my inspiration. Through her giving, I was better able to give to others. After getting married and having two children with her, she always had my back throughout. Even when times were hard for her, she cared about me and my well being. The love she’s always given has made me feel whole and inspired. Every day I wake up to her beautiful face, feeling alive.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

We’ve launched NutriRise University to contribute to other people’s lives by giving them clear cut direction on how to improve their health and well being. Our customers were a deep source of motivation, and we wanted to give them something special that they can turn to. We want to inspire millions of people to believe in their health.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“The past has no power over the present moment” – Eckhart Tolle

At a point in my life, I was ready to become a new dad and was dealing with all sorts of negative thoughts and anxiety. It got to a point where I couldn’t think straight. I realized that I had always been consumed by unresolved past emotions. When I understood the concept of being present, everything changed. By shifting my focus to the now, I was able to deepen my relationship with myself. This helped me better extend it towards others I deeply cared about. My whole world changed, and my life blossomed.
