Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I started dancing at age 2 but learned around age 13 that my true passion was the choreography. After years of working as a dancer and choreographer; I was given the opportunity to purchase a small studio in San Jose, CA. That studio now has grown to one of the largest and most well-known studios in the United States.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have been so lucky to work on some amazing projects. I think my work choreographing on NBC’s World of Dance seasons 1, 3, and 4 has been a highlight in my career.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

I would recommend, balance. Trying to be creative can often be very challenging. The balance between family, friends, and work will give you the energy to continue to move forward.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I have been truly blessed to know and be inspired by so many great people. First, Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo are amazing creators and producers. They have been supportive of my work and given me the opportunity to share it will millions around the world on NBC’s World of Dance. Second, and more personally, I would have to say, my husband, Jason Kuzia. He is a designer and producer. He understands art life; which has given me the freedom and drives to accomplish some of my most incredible dreams.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

That’s a great question. I don’t know if I have brought goodness to the world. I hope my choreography, either on TV or on stage, has made people think and has affected them in a positive emotional way. I would also say that my work with my students has been the most fulfilling part of my career. They continue to bring goodness into my life and I believe continue to bring that energy into the world.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

No.
