Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
Since I was a kid I always knew I wanted to make music, it inspired me to express myself and my emotions and whatever I’m going through when I’m making a new record. I’m sure every musician feels this way and we all must be at least introverted to some degree if we need music to express ourselves or make us feel better, that’s the only reason why I would think I make music.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I would say when I was about to shoot the music video for “Car radio” with Machai I went all the way to LA from Costa Rica, my first time being there it was crazy and met a lot of other artists who do what I do and are at my same level, I had a great time shooting the video in long beach and met a few nice ladies.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Ask yourselves the right questions, what do you wanna achieve? Not everyone in the industry wants the same thing, how do I get there? who is my role model how did they get there? It all comes to observe before you execute.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
My producer, he is the one who made most of my beats and he’s of great help whenever I’ve needed perspective weather on a song or making something public, he’s basically like family to me. The other day we were at the studio and at the same time he was writing the beat I was already writing the lyrics for the track by the time he was done so was I, he was shocked and thought I already came to the studio with written lyrics, like no we made the song at the same time, which I haven’t released yet but I’ll be dropping soon.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I would say to an extent, I try to donate to charity whenever I get a chance especially with all of this black lives matter movement and coronavirus, when I see a cause I know I can help with I lay a hand, I don’t donate as much as I would like though.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
Yes, “You just can’t let life happen to you, you have to make life happen.” Basically what that means to me is that you gotta take initiative, and do what you wanna do with your life, do whatever it takes to get there, make sacrifices, lose some people along if you have to, it all comes to where you wanna and of course enjoy the journey, sometimes we as people forget that a lot.
