Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I grew up without a father so for me, it was tough not having that figure in order cope I turned to the Entertainment Industry to escape the reality of it all! I starred in movies, streaming series, and commercial print jobs and I loved every minute of it. Behind the lens, I also worked in tech for companies like Google and Apple without a degree where made my digital mark in history traveling to various cities in the US to help capture VR Photography for Google Maps/Arts & Culture. After exploring everything tech I started to miss expressing my creative artistic side and decided it was time to be my own boss and that’s where I fell into the world of Youtube. For years I wanted to start a YouTube however I wasn’t educated enough about it to start. When the Pandemic started I starting researching every day for weeks on how YouTube works and purchase a book called “How To Be Youtube Famous” which included everyday tips for current Youtubers on how to be successful on the platform. That’s when everything just clicked. It wasn’t about fame that sparked my interest it was about expressing my creative side and hopefully inspiring those who may have ever struggled in life to get out there and express themselves.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
Yes on July 27, 2020, I was recommended a video from a YouTuber named Mr. Beast titled “Hi Me In Two Years (Made Two Years Ago)” and this inspired me to film my own video to Titled “Hello You, in the New Year (Filmed 6 Months Ago)” scheduled to upload on January 1, 2021, New Years Day. Basically a time capsule video of past and future me. Watch the video in the future to see how far I have come.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
I recommend just being yourself and doing what you love. Don’t try to be someone your not online because in the end it will get old and you want to be able to keep up that persona you made up.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Honestly, I want to thank all of the creative Youtubers who made videos that help inspire me to create my own channel. LoveLiveServe, SSSniperWolf, Steazy Kane, ThinkMedia, Cody Ko, Potato Jet.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I get DMs from old friends and new who come to me for tips and I always respond with things that help make them succeed too.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great” I use to daydream about being a YouTuber and I found myself living through the people I watched. Then I realized why am I just watching them when I can start and be a great Youtuber too.
