Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I grew up in a musically based house where my mother and father to me could sing. Gospel music was the music of choice but I was exposed to natural raw talent. In the years before autotune and pitch correction. But I grew up listening to the Clark sisters and Derrick Haden and Kim Burrel people whose voices were something God could of only created, that’s when I knew I wanted to sing and write music.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
In 2019 I had the pleasure to work with two notable artist Snow Tha product and Blue face being the opener for the shows in Sacramento CA.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Stay focused and pace yourself your turn is coming but it could take some time.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Wow, I would have to say Rico Tha Kidd from Oakland California was my game-changer he took me under his wing and showed me the game. Taught me to live in my talent and to be confident in it and watch it work for me yea most def shout out to my bro he’s a real one.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Just recently I started to use my platform to speak against injustice and police brutality and to just encourage youth to never let their mistakes define them.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
“Never let the past define you” this quote was huge coming from the streets of South Sacramento and making mistakes and watching people rule me out. I had to realize I was better than my mistakes and bigger than my past.
