Interview @ Bellissimo International Corp (bellissimohats)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Growing up in a Hassidic Jewish family we start wearing fedoras at the age of 13 and I set out to create more affordable high-quality fedoras like the ones we buy from Italy to combat ever-rising prices that Jewish families cannot afford. And what started as a necessity quickly turned into a passion and we now create the most cutting edge fashion-forward hat styles on the market worn by Hollywood celebrities like Jamie Foxx and Cedric the Entertainer.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

We received an order from actor Jamie Fox and I was about to go on vacation to LA with my family so I messaged Jamie asking if he’d mind if I dropped it off personally, he replied that that would be great so I rocked up at his mansion in Thousand Oaks with my wife and two kids so he tried on the and loved it but instead of just letting us go he invited us to see his horses so we got into one of his cars and we ended up spending a few hours at his house. We are now in talks with him about a joint hat line.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Online. The future is online and COVID-19 has shown it’s the only way to thrive.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My brother partner Yossi. We started this together with no outside funding and we lean on each other and we built it from the ground up.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Absolutely. We give 10% of all our earnings to charity and we make people happy on a daily basis.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

A business lesson would be to know the numbers. I learned this the hard way when my first venture a restaurant went belly up because I did not know my numbers and we were loosing money off our most popular item so the more we sold the more we lost. I was 20 years old and that lesson will stay with me forever.
