Interview with Kevin LaPalme (@kevin_lapalme)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I was the owner of a talent agency representing over 600 actors. Working in the industry prompted me to add a film/photography studio to the agency’s offerings. After 8 years I decided to sell the studio/agency and try my hand at something with more creative expression. Since we worked with many photographers in our studio, the next evolution seemed easy, putting together an elevated lifestyle publication.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I never thought of the impact a magazine can have on someone’s life. Since we are distributed to over 17 countries, I constantly get emails and DM’s telling me how the magazine inspires them or educates them on different topics. It brings a smile to my face to know we are affecting someone that way.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

You have to take the time out for yourself and your loved ones so you can be a better performer at work and a better partner at home.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I am always grateful I get to work with such fantastic actors, models, photographers, etc. they really allow me to shape my direction and keep growing as a person. My favorite stories are always the ones where we give someone with a creative touch a chance to showcase themselves to the world. I love seeing the impact!

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

We always try to get involved with and highlighting the good that people and organizations are doing around the planet.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Hard Work pays off. I have always loved to work, I guess I get that from my parents. Now I watch as my children are reaching their successes and noticing how just a little elbow grease can really move them along.
