Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I am American and Croatian, born in Minnesota. I love to model and act. Even as a kid, I would always dress up and do “fashion shows” and performances for my family. I started working in the entertainment industry when I was 5 years old. Soon after I was scouted by a manager from Los Angeles and I moved there with my mom and brother. Since then, my career has grown bigger and I haven’t stopped working. I’ve done feature films, tv shows, print and modeling jobs, singing, voice-overs, and music videos.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I’ve done so many jobs, it’s hard to name one. Every set is different. When you shoot long projects and spent weeks on set with the same people, you become friends, and it’s hard to say goodbye when the project wraps. I booked the lead role in the movie “The Clearing” out of hundreds of kids, next to Liam McIntyre from “Spartacus” and Sydelle Noel from “Glow” and “Black Panther” who played my parents. I ;8also had a lead role in the movie “Always &4Ever” next to Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Wood Harris, Deborah Ayorinde, Lauren London, Robbie Jones, and Loretta Devine. I had a guest star role in show “Twisted Sisters” where Khloe Kardashian was executive producer, new Disney Plus show “Diary of a Future President” and I was a lead singer for the new Apple Plus tv show “Home Before Dark”. The shooting family movie “Adventure Harbor” was so much fun and I’m still friends with the cast and crew members.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Don’t be afraid to take care of yourself. Your body needs it. Take a day or two to focus on your physical and mental health. That is really important.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Definitely my mom. Without my mom’s support, I wouldn’t be where I am today. She always unconditionally believed in me and supported me in my career. One time she even lost her job to drive me to a very important audition.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
I’ve always been a very positive, outgoing person. I believe being nice and kind to everyone around me is very important. Sharing my story, using my success for good, and making art matters because it’s adding to our shared humanity.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
It sounds super cheesy but just be yourself! My favorite quote is “be yourself because everyone is else is taken” and it’s so true. You aren’t going to get anywhere pretending to be someone else. Let people see the real you.
