Interview with Louvens St Jean (@llouvenss)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

The first thing that brought me to be a filmmaker and a model is the passion I have for what I am doing. I’ve been in love with filmmaking since I was a kid, I love bringing my ideas so the world can see my perspective and teach them some life lessons through my movies.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Since I started down that career path I used to get so emotional when I work on a project and it doesn’t work out how I wanted it to. I’d pause for weeks and not keep on working but feel depressed and procrastinating until I found a guy named Wesley Virgin who would eventually become my mentor. He helped me to reprogram my mindset and to not give up and to keep working on my goals repeatedly.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

The most important tip I can recommend to anyone is to put God first then repetition is the mother of skills the more you work on what you do best the better you’ll get at it, you need to be consistent you have to work on your goals every single day it doesn’t matter if you wake up and doesn’t feel like working on your goals today do it anyway.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Most importantly I’m grateful to God then I’m grateful to my mom. She’s the most courageous person in the world she’d work two jobs tirelessly to take care of her five children. And my dream is to give her the financial freedom she deserves in her golden days and I will give it to her as a matter of fact not “I will” but I’m giving her the financial freedom she deserves NOW.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I helped a lot of people who message me and ask me for help. I help them to be motivated and not give up even if things are not working out.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Besides having faith in God that He will help you my life lesson quote will be “ Risk Whatever It Takes To Achieve Your Dreams” For me to become the type of person I am today I had to leave my comfort zone I had to let go of my fear and do whatever it takes to achieve my goals like Arnold Schwarzenegger said, “Don’t break the law but break the rules”.
