Interview with Alshati Bourji photographers (@alshati_bourji)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

In the beginning, it was just a hobby, and when we started photographing and publishing what we are doing on social media, we saw an interaction that we did not expect from people and a great admiration for the work we were publishing, which prompted us to turn this hobby into a profession and continue to develop it and create a world of our own.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Since our first steps in learning photography, we came across a lot of stories that we were not expecting, and the most exciting story is when we were sitting in one of the cafes for sipping coffee. We saw people looking at us and talking and some of the praise our work and this was the first day we feel that our actions have touched a large number of people who see and follow us on social media.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Working on developing and learning always in order to create creative and passionate ideas through travel and getting to know cultures and new people in the world of photography, which is a constantly renewed window, and to continue learning and not stand on one level.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

‏As you know that we are (Mohammad Al-Shatti and Bilal Buorji) work together from the beginning, the support that each person gives to the other is the key to success and continuity in creativity, so we find that each of us is going through a critical stage at some point, as you know photography is creativity in creating a beautiful picture that tells a story Different for each person who sees it, and when you find yourself on the edge of the abyss, unable to create new creativity that is going through a period of stagnation, here comes the role of each of us to motivate the other to be creative again.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Bringing goodness to the world is a big word and a beautiful feeling when you achieve it and get it in a beautiful shot at a certain moment that your lens can take it and let it live forever which expresses a very good wonderful for everyone who watches it.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Photography is the only language that can be understood anywhere in the word”. by Bruno Barbey
