Interview with Abigail Jones (@iamofficialskye)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I am so passionate about music and traveling The world I dedicate my time and my effort to showcase my artwork in both the music industry and the travel industry.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Because I was born and raised in Jamaica, When I first started doing music to be more specific when I started rapping I was always told that I don’t have an accent and people were always surprised and excited when I tell them I was actually born and raised in Jamaica.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

The best advice I can give is to never give up and what you are most passionate about failure is not an option but it is definitely a lesson that will push you to go harder at what you love.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Yes of course first and foremost I have to thank my mother for supporting me in everything I do, If I told her I want to pick apples she would support me lol, I have to thank God, of course, my dad as well for guiding me day by day in spirit and the rest of my friends and family.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I have donated to various groups online, I am very big in giving back I give back every day I am a kind-hearted person so I try to help others in every way I possibly can.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

My life lesson quote is “Short Cuts Make Long Delays” and this quote is relevant to me because I don’t believe in taking a short cut when you are trying to be successful at something, failure is a good thing because it helps you to become a better person and also to perfect your craft and also taking a risk in life help you to master what you want to be good at, taking a short cut is never the answer because then even if you take that short cut and succeed, that success may only last for 15 minutes.
