Interview with Chelsea Hoffman (@chelseahoffmanofficial)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’ve had a passion for studying the minds of serial killers and elements of various crime cases since before I became a teenager.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Charles Manson sent me a postcard from prison, and my “Free Charlie Ely” campaign was successful in her being freed from prison.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Just write when you want to, and don’t when you don’t want to. Don’t push yourself if you’re not motivated, or the final product won’t be good.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Gather News, which no longer exists, gave me one of my original mass writing platforms for news commentary in the true-crime realm.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I’ve helped bring attention to cases that many have forgotten, have been a voice for the wrongly imprisoned, and the wrongly accused and have advocated against the injustice of every kind.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
