Interview with Kristen Morgan (@kristenxmorgan)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

In the summer of 2019, back when Tiktok was just a “meme” and people were just downloading it as a joke, I started making silly prank videos with my friends. Over time, I ended up building an audience that I soon fell in love with.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Besides my crazy storytimes, being able to use my platform to influence others and myself has really changed the way I see things on a daily basis.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Do what you love. Create content that you yourself would watch. Keep trying and don’t ever give up. Sometimes you might read a comment or two that makes you want to delete your entire profile, but it’s important to remember that we’ve all been there. Just keep going and it’ll pay off.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My mom and my friends have supported me the most. At first, I didn’t think Tiktok was a career option or even something to put all my time into. But, once I started to gain a massive following, my friends and my mom told me to start making Merch, to start posting more consistently, to do giveaways, etc.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I like to use my platform to positively influence others. Whether that’s making someone laugh or giving them something to watch when they get home from school. If I can make just one person day turn from bad to good, then I’ve done my job.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“All in time” is something that my manager always tells me. Sometimes we want things right now, we want to rush to see the end goal, or we just want things to get done. He always tells me “all in time” as a way to remind me that it’s okay to slow down and everything you want will eventually come to you, in time.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

My Tiktok is kristenxmorgan, my Instagram is kristenxmorgan, my Snapchat is baby.pupper.
