Interview with Ahna Bali (@byoutfulbyahnab)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I have a passion for turning shy into social and teaching who struggle with behavior issues how to engage in efficient daily activity to live a better quality of life. Working with clients who have autism, specific behavior challenges, and other special needs, I love to turn maladaptive behaviors into success stories. Helping the client live a better daily life. One with a better quality of life, socialization opportunities, and learning more daily skills that will them live a longer more fulfilling life. I also like to reduce behaviors by adjusting daily nutrition habits into healthy lifestyle changes and making better food choices that help to fuel the brain better. I also specialize in special movement exercise and exercise therapy which is all part of my wellness program.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I work for the school district. I had a student that used to be a very angry, unhappy individual. He would curse, hit, spit, and say really mean things to his peers, teachers, and even his parents. He would never participate in any activity at school. He would close himself off and be angry all day at school. When I got this student, he gave me a run for my money. He called me names etc. Teaching him to have a voice and to tell him when he could express his anger changed everything. He has made a HUGE turnaround. I taught him how and where to channel is energy and that it’s okay to be afraid. I would do everything he would do. Now he participates in everything and has made friends with his classmates and no longer regresses. He does all his work etc. He is one of my miracle students.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

To have passion, commitment, and a lot of patience.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My grandfather is my hero, my previous District Manager Alice Souza Abs Trent Shelton. They have mentored new and coached me through so many challenges and struggles in my life. They taught me to focus, be very grounded, and committed to my passions for the wellness lifestyle. Protecting my peace and mental health is what allows me to be successful I also all I do in my business.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I do all I can to give back to those who are in need. When I do, I go all in. I love to support non-profit organizations that truly need supplies, food, clothes, etc. Being selfless with no expectations has made me a better human being. Every day I get out there and make the world respect my greatness.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

One of my favorite life lessons quotes is: Life has taught me that you can’t control someone’s loyalty, No matter how good you are to them, it doesn’t mean that they will treat you the same.
