Interview with Amy (@amyaela)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I kind of fell into all of this, I started making dance videos in 2018 and my videos propelled me into the social media space. My videos have been shared by Yo Yo Honey Singh, Harrdy Sandhu, Jass Manak, and many more!

I dance for happiness, for fitness – and I love sharing that with others. Since my online space developed so quickly, I started modelling as well and I am now an Internationally published model. In 2019, I was the official face of Bumble India and I have been featured in Punjabi music videos.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have had the opportunity to dance with Urvashi Rautela which was pretty cool! I was asked with a few hour’s notice to come to a studio for an opportunity for a dance video with Urvashi, so I contacted my choreographer friend, Chiraag Vohra. He choreographed me a dance within 15mins, I learnt it in 10mins and headed straight to the studio to film it with Urvashi!

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

I would suggest staying focused on maintaining your health – that comes above all else. And then just staying focused on the goal – don’t get distracted by people and their opinions. It is ok to take risks and it is never too late to start something new!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My parents and my friends have been very supportive of me and helped me through everything. Without the parent’s blessings, things are just not right!

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I believe that my social mediums make me responsible to ensure that I use the platform in a socially responsible way. I encourage my fans to donate, support charity, and spread awareness about serious environmental, human and animal rights issues.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I just believe in taking the risk and going for it. What is the worst that can happen? If you fail, you grow and get better. If you don’t do it, you will always regret it.

How can our readers follow you on social media?

They can follow me on Instagram @amyaela or Tik Tok @amyaela.
