Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
I’ve always been big on comedy. For me, comedy is my escape from stress, problems, and anything negative. I love joking. I love laughing.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
The first time I realized I had talent. It was an English class, we had to write a 500 words essay about ourselves and where we want to be in 5 years, and we had to read it in front of the class. On the day of, I completely forgot the paper was due. I put on a show. The whole classroom was in tears, even my teacher. After every speech, we had to turn our paper in. When I handed my paper I only had written a paragraph. Needless to say, I failed the assignment but my teacher looked at me and said: “boy, you are something special.” Laughing.
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
Two words: keep going.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
Although I feel I am nowhere near where I would like to be I can tell you that all the greats before me are my inspiration. Eddie Murphy, Dave Chappell, Patrice O’Neal, Eddy Griffin, Kevin Hart. So many to name.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
Laughter is a cure. Of course.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
This may come off funny, but Spongebob said it best. “I’m ready.” No matter what challenges come your way whether expected or unexpected, stay ready. Even if you’re not, always believe you are.
