Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I played 4 years of D1 volleyball at Wake Forest University and wanted to keep being competitive. While still in graduate school working on my master of management in the Wake Forest School of business, I started my own marketing agency Power Move Marketing. http://www.powermovemarketing.com.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Just that most of my clients do not even realize that I have not graduated yet (I graduate at the end of May 2020). Check out my website to learn more about me http://www.powermovemarketing.com.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Being well rounded- I still play volleyball every day, maintain a social life and I work with many different kinds of companies So I do not get bored. I don’t let one aspect of my life form my identity.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My mother and Kenny Herbst from my graduate program. My mom always encouraged me to just try my best. She never asked for anything more than that. Anytime I would complain or be upset about something, she’d say “well, did you do everything you could to make it work?” Whether that was more volleyball lessons, meeting with a professor, or tutoring- I knew I had to cover all my bases before I complained to my mom. Professor Kenny is the one who encouraged me to make my own business. He told me he didn’t see me being like a regular master of science in management student- I was entrepreneurial

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Yes! Almost all of my companies that I consult have a mission, either environmentally or socially to make the world a better place.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Be stubborn about your goals but flexible about your methods- JJ Watt. I have changed my career path by deciding to stop applying for jobs and run my own company- I constantly have to be creative and pivot for clients.

How can our readers follow you on social media?
