Interview with Stefani Dodson (@moongoddi)

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I moved to Dallas to pursue my passion for photography a few years ago. I was blessed with an opportunity to work for a nationally known studio here. After a few years, they closed down. That’s when I decided to do modeling full time.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Modeling has led me to meet many interesting, and such fun, people in this industry. It has also helped my career with influencing, being a brand ambassador, and an event promoting. My most favorite opportunity yet has been the west coast tour for modeling my partner, Stephen Zane Pfeifer, and I went on last summer.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Stay passionate and humble, but most of all don’t give up on your dreams!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My life changed after meeting Ace Angelo Mindieta and Daniel Quinones. They have been mentors and such good friends. They taught me all about hair and makeup, amongst other things. I would say that our photoshoots we have collaborated on together has to be some of my best photos.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I want to inspire other girls and women that this life is possible for them too no matter where they come from and I feel that I do. 🙂

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“Success is something between you and yourself. I think only you know where you’ve come from and how far you want to go.” -Ru Paul

At times this industry can be slow or competitive for certain roles. This quote my Ru Paul has always reminded me to not give up if I feel I still have much to offer, and I do. I definitely haven’t even reached my prime yet.
