Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?
My name is Ali Aura, I am a musician from Kazakhstan. I’ve always dreamed of being a Soul and R&B singer. I started singing at a young age, both of my parents are musicians as well. My father is a bass player, and my mother is also a singer. I believed in the saying, “Dream Big”, and I made the choice of moving to The Big Apple, New York City! This is where it all started.
Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?
I am the first artist signed to CeeLo Green’s Mothership Entertainment Group. During our time together, we released a sultry track and video titled “Sex In The City” (Mothership Ent. Group/Sony RAL).
Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?
I would advise them to continue to work hard, and as for motivational purposes, to remember that there’s always someone hungrier than you, that’s trying to get to where you are. I’d also tell them to stay focused, and take full advantage of the opportunity that’s before you. Whatever your priorities are, whether it be family, or just thriving for your own personal success, believe in your God-given ability, and keep moving forward.
None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?
First and foremost, I’d like to state my belief and faith in God, as well as the confidence in myself, got me to New York City. I appreciate the Instagram platform, for allowing me to share my talent worldwide, and that’s how I met my manager, who introduced me to The 4 Grammy Award winner, singer, songwriter, and Producer CeeLo Green.
How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?
My personal experience allowed me to become an inspiration to others, but it’s also a constant inspiration to myself. Music is The International language. No matter who you are and where you’re from, I’ve learned that my music is a way for me to connect and communicate with others. I’m able to share that positive energy to those who need it.
Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?
My favorite quote is, “Dream Big, Work Hard, and Never Give Up”. This saying, literally explains my life, and how I’ve gotten to where I am today.
