Interview with Enkay47 (@Enkay47official)

Enkay....87

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I’ve been a professional hip hop artist for a few years now and being verified will help immensely with business. I have millions of streams and views on my songs and videos but hardly any publicity.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I have a few haha. At 18 I traveled the country alongside an artist named “Cryptic Wisdom.” Last year I got a year-long contract with Sprite and they even follow me on Instagram. A couple of years ago I was at a party in LA for my 21st birthday and met a bunch of basketball stars. Not sure if you follow basketball but Kenny the Jet Smith from ESPN follows me on here and even got a bunch of videos of me. Met got pics with Charles Barkley, Chris Webber, and a few others.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Just write what you’re passionate about and take a break if you need to. You can’t force creativity.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Absolutely, my grandmother. Before I had any sort of following whatsoever she would listen to all of my songs and critique them haha. Even when she had stage four brain cancer she would listen to my music intently and help me out. She’s in remission right now thank God, but she’s always been my rock. I can’t tell you how many times she talked me out of quitting.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Definitely. When my fans hit me up for donations (for good causes granted) I always donate, as long as I see the message. Just a few weeks ago I have a fan $75 for his daughter’s inhaler medication because they couldn’t afford it that week. My music is what helps my fans though. It tackles issues such as suicide, mental health, self-harming, etc and I try to bring something worth living for into their lives.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

How can our readers follow you on social media?
