Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I opened my first company at 20 in the landscape field, my company catered to the upper echelon and quickly became the best in the biz. Over the years my work expanded to speaking engagements and mentoring young women with entrepreneurial aspirations. My extensive business background gave way to a business consulting firm that has opened many hidden doors. I truly love people and helping them achieve their dreams is my dream!

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I finished designing a garden for a CEO of a major telecommunications company that won several awards. He called and asked me to join him and his wife for lunch in Vegas. He sent a plane and two hours later I was having lunch with Steve Wynn and company in his personal private Ferrari garage at the Wynn. Complimented by a free week in the villas as a guest of Steve, I saw Vegas through his eyes. Magical.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Never get stale. Never become complacent. Always seek out projects that excite you both professionally and personally. I make a gratitude list every day. When you focus on the positives and not the negatives it reinvigorates you.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

My success was a lot of hard work and great luck! Being in the right place at the right time is key! So many people helped me along the way it would be impossible to single one out.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I mentor younger people on their quest for success. I help them decide their goals and achieve them. It’s my passion! Speaking to women about life after divorce and owning their own business is my way of giving back. I contribute to charities and fundraisers and do community service. I organize blood drives and make them fun family events. I do my best to leave snails everywhere I go.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear” – Nelson Mandela.
