Interview with Nojahlink

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I was in high school and was bored. I needed something to do on the side so I started looking. At the time Kanye West had just signed with Adidas. Kanye was instrumental in me starting my business, the amount of creativity Kanye has running through his veins is truly astonishing. What really inspired me was Kanye’s first shoe release which was the Yeezy 750 Grey/White, ever since then my dedication and perseverance took over.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

My transition from selling high-end fashion items to the addition of regular house-hold items for me was very interesting. I learned not to pigeon-hole myself and to broaden my reselling market, I did this by starting to resell items such as televisions, gaming consoles, and accessories, etc. This made business much more marketable and appealing to all types of consumers. When I’m approached in reference to something I’m selling, I can offer products to that potential buyer that they would have never even thought of being interested in.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

I always keep two words in my mind “relentless perseverance”. What those words mean to me is no matter how much you think things are not working out for you, have relentless perseverance. Never give up and you will remain in the game and eventually come out on top.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Definitely, Kanye West, the success of his brand directly contributed to my personal business success. Kanye’s Yeezy line with Adidas is easily one of the most sought after shoe lines in the world.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Without a doubt, I dedicate a certain portion of my profits to donate to non-profit charities such as, the World Wildlife Fund as well as UNICEF. I also like to share the knowledge I’ve gained in my career with others which, I think is invaluable.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

It’s from the 48 Laws of Power, Rule #16. “Use absence to increase respect and honor” Its not exactly a life lesson but more of something to live by, using absence creates a sense of mystery around you which naturally intrigues people and makes them wonder, which in turn increases your respect and honor. “Create value through scarcity”.
