Interview with Autumn Price Johnson

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I wanted to make a difference on college campuses by covering liberal bias on college campuses.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

I was able to speak at CPAC in the spring of 2019 on the importance of treating those you disagree with civilly. I wouldn’t have been able to do that without my experience of engaging those I disagree with on social media respectfully.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Take some time off to brainstorm and reconnect with your passions. Maybe change it up a bit in terms of what you cover and when! Diversify.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I would like to thank Campus Reform for getting me started in journalism and giving me a platform to write and bring attention to instances of liberal bias on college campuses.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I encourage others to engage with people they disagree with respectfully. Listen and hear them out. Then try to find common ground.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I don’t.

How can our readers follow you on social media?
