Interview with Derrick J. Mixson II

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Ever since A 9-Year-Old, I always had this fascination with words, poetry, & rhymes, this motivated me to write. Entertainment was always a part of my life, I am a great character in life. Earlier participated in multiple music videos, movies, extra play writing, & As an actor, I had always been liked by many. I see a much clear vision this upcoming year 2020 to produce much more results for what It all came from!

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started doing this?

Results matter the most, because a change means a lot, I believe in the domino effect. Love the networking results, because I truly know lives can be changed by this.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

“Don’t ever be scared to be yourself”.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

Yes, thanks to the very few close friends that I have, my wife & GOD.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

Yes, All the time this is what I live for! Seriously I been down a dark path for a long time, and I admit I saw it happen to me first hand, depression etc., and music entertainment kind of woke me up, & inspired me in a way. Especially if the songs are good concepts.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

I can honestly say from experience that you must always believe in yourself, because without the self-confidence, who else would believe in you?
